What is VeroSinse™?

Parthenocarpy, virginal fruit, can essentially be divided into two classes. Facultative parthenocarpy describes the traditional method of sinsemilla cultivation. Growers facilitate the virginal plant by keeping them away from pollen. Clearly this doesn’t always work! Obligate parthenocarpy on the other hand is entirely different. In this case, the plant is physically incapable of receiving pollen. They are obliged to remain infertile. The plants that have been through the VeroSinse process will no longer produce stigmas, (which many mislabel as pistils). The flowers themselves are perfectly normal in every other regard.

Often when people hear about the fabled “sterile females” they picture an abomination of a flower with little white aborted pips, useless for smoking as sinsemilla. They are picturing the process used to develop seedless watermelons or seedless grapes. These plants are exhibiting stenocarpy, whereby the plant receives pollen, but cannot carry the seed to term, resulting in plants that will “miscarry” the little white seed while immature. Not ideal for our purposes. That is not what we do. Stenocarpic plants are the result of polyploidy, often triploids, which is not what we do. VeroSinse has nothing to do with triploids. Triploids “may” have some advantages, but proper infertility, ie. obligate parthenocarpy, is not one of them.
